Online video, mobile and social media driving global online ad spend growth

The revised forecasts issued by MAGNA GLOBAL and ZenithOptimedia this week confirm strong growth for social, mobile and digital video advertising around the world.

Global online ad spending is projected to grow by 13.4% this year, according to MAGNA GLOBAL and the new forecast, from ZenithOptimedia, projects a 15% increase.
Display is the fastest-growing sub-category thanks to the rapid rise of mobile formats (+54%), social media advertising (+40%) and online video (+21%).
