Video goes programmatic in Europe : x5 between 2013 and 2017
The research conducted by IHS titled “Video goes programmatic: Forecasting the European online video advertising landscape” has found that the video programmatic grows strongly in European “Big 5” markets (UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy).
Here are the top line figures from IHS’s report:
- Programmatic video ad buying across the « Big 5 » European markets will double next year and will grow fivefold between 2013 and 2017 reaching €626.5 million.
- One quarter (25.8%) of all European “Big 5” online video ad revenue will be generated programmatically in 2015. By 2017, the programmatic ad buying share will account for a third (33.2%) of online video advertising across the five countries.
- The UK is the most advanced of the “Big 5” in 2012 and will remain the largest programmatic market through 2017, closely followed by France.
