Social network advertising spending will increase by 21% in Western Europe in 2014, according to the latest forecast published by eMarketer. Advertisers in this region will invest $13.7 per user, less than twice as much per user as those in North America ($32.8). According to eMarketer estimates, North America far outpaces any other region in spending by this metric, followed by Western Europe. Spending per user drops off sharply after the first two slots, with Asia-Pacific only reaching a projected $3.6 in social network ad spending per user in 2014.
