UK : Mobile ad spending to overtake Print in 2015, TV in 2016
Mobile ad spending has shown significant growth in recent years and is expected to rise 45% this year.
The year 2015 will be a turning point in mobile. Indeed, for the first time this year, mobile advertising spending in the UK will overtake spend on print advertising, according to the latest forecasts from eMarketer.
Mobile will continue to make gains on other media across the forecast period.
In 2016, one year after mobile passes print spending, mobile will overtake TV by accounting 25.5% of UK total media ad spending (vs TV 24.8%).
The following year, mobile will become the single largest ad channel in the UK market accounting for 30.7% of total UK media spending in 2017.
