UK will keep its leading position in mobile advertising adoption in Western Europe
Mobile is now not only a communication channel but also a sales channel, it has truly become an essential part of our daily life. Due to this increased used of mobile by consumer demand, there will be a shift from media ad spending to mobile. The desktop’s share of advertising spending is expected to slowly decline in favor of mobile advertising.
The latest eMarketer’s forecasts underline this trend and point out that UK will keep its leading position in mobile advertising adoption in Western Europe. Indeed, mobile will account for 40% of total digital spending in 2015 and this share will reach 49% in 2016 positionning the UK as the leading country in this region.
